COMMUNITY SERVICE

Jeff is committed to helping our local businesses thrive and making Bowling Green a great place to live, work, and raise a family.

In addition to his duties as a member of Bowling Green City Council, Jeff is a member of the Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce and serves on the Governing Board for Lake Erie West Regional Council (formerly the Toledo Metropolitan Area Council of Governments). Jeff has also served on the boards of Friends of BG Dog Parks, Montessori School of Bowling Green, and the Bowling Green Arts Council. He is a founding member and Treasurer of BG Families for Schools - a group of parents, local business owners, and young professionals who help campaign on behalf of our local school district.

Since joining City Council, Jeff has used his free time to start and run a non-profit foundation that has helped secure more than $235,000 in non-governmental funding for local non-profits and community groups. These efforts have helped fund things like public art, new choir equipment, and community events.

CAREER

Jeff is an attorney at Stearns & Hammer where he assists clients in the areas of real estate and business transactions, landlord/tenant disputes, estate planning, and civil litigation. He also serves as chief legal counsel for several municipalities throughout northwest Ohio.

Jeff was honored to be named one of Toledo's 20 Under 40 in 2024. This program recognizes individuals under the age of 40 who have distinguished themselves in their careers and in the community. In 2023, Jeff was honored to be recognized with the American Association of University Women's "Emerging Young Leader" award for his work in the Bowling Green community.
